Solana DePIN project achieved a new high in revenue for the year in April, with strong momentum in ecological development.
Solana DePIN project shows impressive performance in April, with ecosystem revenue hitting a new high for the year.
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN track performed outstandingly in April, with monthly cumulative revenue reaching $458,000, a year-on-year increase of 33%, marking the highest level this year. This growth is mainly attributed to the stable development of several key projects.
Despite record-high revenues, the number of active contributors to DePIN protocols has slightly decreased. The total number of active contributors across major projects remains around 87,000. Notably, the number of contributors to smaller DePIN protocols has significantly increased, with some projects experiencing growth rates exceeding 100%, while the number of contributors to larger projects has remained stable or declined slightly.
Here is a review of the performance of major DePIN projects in April:
Dabba Network
This is a DePIN project aimed at the Indian market, dedicated to providing high-speed and low-cost internet services by collaborating with local cable operators to deploy Wi-Fi hotspots. During the period from March to April, its cumulative data consumption doubled to 8000 TB, and device sales increased by 29%.
Helium Mobile
As a virtual mobile network operator, Helium Mobile saw a surge of 125% in new subscription users after launching its free mobile plan, reaching 36,000 users. Monthly revenue increased by 34%, hitting a new high of $250,000, with data offloading accounting for 79%. The average daily offloaded subscription volume and data volume grew by 65% and 32% respectively, both setting new records.
However, the total number of active contributors to Helium has shown a slight downward trend since the beginning of the year and is currently stabilizing around 75,000.
XNET
The decentralized mobile network continued to maintain its growth momentum in April. The average daily data offloading increased by 16%, continuing an upward trend for 8 months. Despite a 6% drop in rewards, the number of active contributors still grew by 6%, reaching a historical high of 732 people.
Roam
In April, 535,000 new WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users were added, bringing the total number of nodes close to 4 million and the number of users to nearly 3 million. Although the monthly user check-in volume decreased by 19%, the cumulative check-in count exceeded 300 million, indicating that user stickiness remains very strong.
Shaga
This protocol utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, achieving 4,500 interactive game live streams within two months, with a total duration of 50,000 hours, allowing viewers to participate in the streamer's games in real time.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, Hivello's online duration in April doubled compared to March, with more nodes joining the network to contribute resources.
Nosana
This decentralized GPU computing network focuses on AI inference workloads. In April, the workload completed and contributor rewards saw a slight increase, with GPU nodes remaining stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI collaboration project is expected to drive future growth.
Sallar.io
Sallar supports high-performance computing by integrating the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones. In April, the dollar rewards increased to $11,800, a month-on-month increase of 27%, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
This project utilizes users' idle bandwidth to provide data sources for AI training and other services. The data collection volume in April reached a new high, totaling 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Based on the Solana aviation data collection network, since last November, the number of tracked flights has increased to 150,000, and the daily data points collected have risen to 9 billion, representing increases of 7% and 29% respectively. The number of contributing sites has increased by 43%, reaching 3,000.
Hivemapper
This decentralized map network has maintained stable development in April. Its AI-driven platform Beekeeper, aimed at fleet management, has officially launched and is expected to bring new growth momentum. The number of active map contributors has remained stable at around 5,000 since February.
NATIX Network
NATIX, which is dedicated to collecting street view data through smart devices, has maintained a user driving mileage of 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month in April.
Sourceful Energy
The decentralized virtual power plant project saw a 30% increase in power output in April. The newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 pre-orders, and the growth momentum is expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
As the world's largest environmental monitoring DePIN, Ambios has accumulated over 2 million user ecological data check-ins in April, a growth of 12%. The total number of platform users has increased to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
Overall, the Solana DePIN ecosystem demonstrated strong growth momentum in April, with multiple projects achieving significant progress in user growth, revenue, and network expansion. This diversified growth model not only reflects the vitality of the DePIN sector but also lays a solid foundation for the future development of the Solana ecosystem.
