Solana DePIN ecosystem's April revenue hits a new high for the year, with major projects developing steadily.
Solana DePIN ecosystem performed impressively in April, with revenue reaching a new high for the year.
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN track performed exceptionally well in April, with monthly revenue reaching $458,000, a year-on-year increase of 33%, marking the best performance of the year so far. This growth is primarily attributed to the stable development of several key projects.
Although income has reached a new high, the number of active contributors to the DePIN protocol has slightly decreased. The main projects combined maintain about 87,000 active contributors. Notably, the number of contributors to small DePIN protocols saw significant growth in April, with some projects experiencing growth rates of over 100%, while the number of contributors to large protocols remained stable or declined slightly.
Here is a review of the performance of several major DePIN projects in April:
Dabba Network
As a DePIN project aimed at the Indian market, Dabba Network collaborates with local cable operators to deploy Wi-Fi hotspots to provide internet services. From March to April, its cumulative data consumption doubled to 8,000 TB; device sales increased by 29%, further expanding the network scale.
Helium Mobile
As a mobile virtual network operator, Helium Mobile combines community Wi-Fi hotspots with cellular base stations from partner operators to provide low-cost mobile services. In April, following the launch of a free mobile plan, new subscriber growth surged by 125%, reaching 36,000. Monthly revenue set a new record of $250,000, with data offloading accounting for as much as 79%. The average daily offloading subscription volume and data volume both reached all-time highs, increasing by 65% and 32%, respectively.
It is worth noting that the number of active contributors to Helium has slightly declined since 2025 and is currently stabilizing at around 75,000.
XNET
XNET is a decentralized mobile network based on Solana. In April, its data offloading volume steadily increased for the 8th consecutive month, with an average daily offloading volume rising by 16%. Despite a 6% decrease in rewards, active contributors still grew by 6%, reaching 732, setting a new historical high.
Roam
In April, Roam added 535,000 WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users, bringing the total number of nodes close to 4 million and the number of users nearly 3 million. Although the monthly user check-in volume decreased by 19%, the total number of check-ins exceeded 300 million, indicating that user loyalty remains very high.
Shaga
Shaga utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, currently covering 74 GPU models. In two months, it has achieved 4,500 interactive game live streams, totaling 50,000 hours, allowing viewers to participate in the streamer’s games in real time.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, Hivello's online duration in April doubled compared to March, with more nodes joining the network.
Nosana
Nosana is a decentralized GPU computing network focused on AI inference. In April, its job completion volume and contributor rewards saw a slight increase, while GPU nodes remained stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI collaboration project is expected to drive job growth.
Sallar.io
Sallar supports high-performance computing by utilizing the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones. In April, the dollar rewards increased to $11,800, a 27% month-on-month rise, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
Grass utilizes the idle bandwidth of user devices to provide data sources for AI training and more. In April, the data collection volume reached a new high, totaling 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Wingbits is an aviation data collection network based on Solana. Since November 2024, the number of tracked flights has increased to 150,000, with daily collected data points rising to 9 billion, representing increases of 7% and 29% respectively; the number of contribution sites has increased by 43%, reaching 3,000.
Hivemapper
Hivemapper is a decentralized mapping network. In April, the monthly mapping mileage remained stable, and the AI-driven platform Beekeeper for fleet management officially launched. Since February, the number of active map contributors has stabilized at around 5,000.
NATIX Network
NATIX Network is committed to collecting street view and geographic data. In April, user-driven mileage has maintained at 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month.
Sourceful Energy
Sourceful Energy focuses on decentralized virtual power plants, connecting distributed energy resources. In April, electricity output increased by 30%, and the newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 pre-orders, with growth expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
AmbiosNetwork has built a large-scale environmental monitoring DePIN. In April, the cumulative user ecological data check-ins exceeded 2 million, an increase of 12%; the total number of platform users has risen to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
Overall, the Solana DePIN ecosystem showed strong growth momentum in April, with various projects making varying degrees of progress in user growth, data collection, and revenue. With the emergence of more innovative applications and the ongoing optimization of existing projects, this sector is expected to continue to maintain a positive development trend.
