CESS: The Decentralization Storage Innovator of the Web3 Era
CESS: The Rise of a New Generation of Decentralized Storage Networks
With the arrival of the Web3 era, decentralized storage networks have become the focus of people's attention. However, traditional decentralized storage technologies often face performance and speed bottlenecks when processing dApps data, especially in reading files. To address this challenge, CESS was born.
CESS, as a physical infrastructure network, consists of three functional layers: the public chain layer, the storage layer, and the content distribution layer ( DCDN ). The public chain layer is developed based on Substrate and integrates the EVM Pallet module, enabling it to seamlessly run Ethereum smart contracts. The storage layer is a blockchain-based decentralized cloud storage system responsible for storing file content. The DCDN layer is planned to be released in 2025, aiming to enhance data access speed through decentralized CDN technology.
In terms of Decentralization, CESS adopts various innovative mechanisms. Its node network includes consensus nodes, storage nodes, caching nodes, and retrieval nodes, which together form a distributed network architecture. In terms of consensus algorithm, CESS employs Reputation Round Robin Consensus (R²S), which selects verification nodes through point sorting. In terms of storage, CESS uses Multi-Replica Recoverable Storage Proof (PoDR²) and Idle Space Proof (PoIS) to ensure data security and reliability. In addition, CESS also utilizes Proxy Re-Encryption Technology (PReT) to enhance the security of data sharing.
CESS has currently launched multiple products, including Deshare for individual users, the decentralized file sharing platform Decloud, and the enterprise-level storage solution DeOSS. These products provide users with a variety of decentralized storage options.
Compared to other decentralized storage networks, CESS has a higher degree of Decentralization, stronger security and privacy protection, more efficient file reading capabilities, and an innovative consensus algorithm. These features give CESS a broad application prospect in the Web3 application field, making it particularly suitable for supporting emerging applications such as high-quality NFT markets, decentralized streaming, and social media.
The CESS project is led by an experienced team, including Nicholas with extensive management and marketing experience, Joseph Li with 38 years of IT infrastructure technology experience, and early cryptocurrency investor Jessie Dai. The project has secured $8 million in funding from several institutions, including HTX Ventures, by the end of 2023.
Overall, CESS, as a comprehensive Web3 infrastructure integrating public chain, Decentralization storage, and content distribution, provides strong support for the future of decentralized applications. Its solid and steady development strategy, compatibility with various smart contracts, and continuously expanding ecosystem make CESS a project worth paying attention to. With the continuous development of Web3 applications, CESS is expected to occupy an important position in the future of decentralized storage.
