Elliptic exposes Xinbi Guarantee involving $8.4 billion in illegal Crypto Assets transactions.
Gate.io News bot message, blockchain security company Elliptic released an investigative report revealing that Xinbi Guarantee, a registered company in Colorado, USA, is operating an illegal Crypto Assets trading market. The platform has processed a total of $8.4 billion in transactions, mainly serving scammers in Southeast Asia.
The report indicates that Xinbi Guarantee is engaged in money laundering and "pig butchering" scam activities through the USDT stablecoin, while also providing money laundering services, technical equipment, and fake identity documents to clients. The platform currently has 233,000 users, with a trading scale reaching $1 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024. The investigation also found a connection between the platform and the money laundering activities of North Korean hackers.
