Deutsche Bank will launch encryption asset custody services in 2026, inviting Bitpanda to assist in the setup.

According to a message from the Gate News bot, anonymous sources have revealed that Deutsche Bank intends to launch digital asset custody services in 2026 and has invited the technology department of the crypto assets exchange Bitpanda to assist in the construction. The bank announced related plans as early as 2022 and is still collaborating with Swiss technology service provider Taurus SA.

This move comes at a time when financial institutions are increasing their attention on Crypto Assets. The newly introduced encryption regulatory framework in Europe and the improvement of the regulatory environment in the United States have prompted traditional institutions to show greater interest in digital assets.

According to reports, Deutsche Bank is exploring stablecoins and various forms of tokenized deposits, including issuing its own coins or joining industry alliances. The bank is also assessing whether to develop its own tokenized deposit solution for application in the payment sector.
