Golden Finance reported that Roman Storm, the co-founder of the crypto tumbler Tornado Cash, will face trial on Monday for charges of Money Laundering and violating sanctions laws. He posted on social media platform X on Saturday, urgently seeking assistance, hoping to raise $500,000 in the coming days. Storm stated that he is currently facing a "serious funding gap" and in addition to this emergency funding, he will need an additional $1 million in the coming weeks to cover legal expenses. He added, "My team is working tirelessly to defend the code as a right to free speech, protect software development, and combat excessive government intervention—this intervention is a threat to all of us."
