World Gold Council: Gold ETF records annual inflows for the first time in four years

On January 8th, Golden Data reported that the World Gold Council stated that global gold ETFs recorded annual fund inflows for the first time in four years (3.4 billion USD), with 778 million USD in fund inflows in December, the first time since 2019 to record fund inflows in December, led by Asia and Europe. Global gold ETF fund inflows have increased the total assets under management to a record 271 billion USD. The holdings have remained relatively stable (3,219 tons). Global gold volume decreased in December, but the daily volume in 2024 rose by 39% compared to 2019.
