Institutions: Tokyo's CPI may slow down slightly in February

According to the data from Quick, economists surveyed by Jinshi Data on February 27th expect that consumer inflation in the Tokyo metropolitan area in February may slow slightly, as subsidies for electricity and natural gas are reinstated. The core consumer price index, excluding fresh food, is expected to pump 2.3% year-on-year in February, compared to a 2.5% pump year-on-year in January. However, economists expect food prices to pump for a while, while wage increases may help to facilitate spending and the benign cycle of mild inflation more smoothly.
