Elon Musk has a new move in the crypto world
The artificial intelligence company xAI, led by Elon Musk, has announced a strategic partnership with the prediction market platform Kalshi based in the United States. As part of the partnership, xAI's AI chatbot Grok has been integrated into Kalshi's platform. This collaboration marks Grok's first breakout into the prediction market. xAI announced this development in a post on X (previously known as Twitter): "Kalshi and xAI are collaborating to bring Grok to the prediction market. Two of the fastest-growing companies in America are now on the same team." Kalshi is becoming increasingly popular ahead of the United States presidential election in November 2025. The company is one of the few exchanges regulated by the federal government, allowing U.S. citizens to trade based on the outcomes of political elections. Kalshi's platform also allows users to make predictions on various topics, including the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and the Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions. In June 2025, Kalshi raised $185 million in a funding round led by cryptocurrency-focused investment firm Paradigm, increasing its valuation to $2 billion. Both companies have a close relationship with President Donald Trump. Kalshi's son, Donald Trump Jr., is a strategic advisor, while Kalshi's board member, Brian Quintenz, was nominated by President Trump to be the chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The CFTC is the main regulatory agency for the prediction market and other derivatives markets.
