Jin10 data June 12 news, a key Republican negotiator said that Republican senators are considering setting a cap of $30,000 on the state and local tax (SALT) deduction as a compromise between the current law and the more generous House version of the Trump tax plan. Moderate Republican Senator Thom Tillis, who is involved in the negotiations, stated that Republican senators are trying to reduce the $40,000 SALT cap passed by the House to at least $30,000.
