GOAT Network: An innovative solution for BTC Layer2

GOAT Network is an innovative Bitcoin Layer 2 solution designed to expand the functionality of Bitcoin and address the key challenges currently faced by L2. The project plans to launch its testnet this month and go live with its mainnet in the third or fourth quarter of this year.

Main Features

1. Decentralized Sorter: The GOAT Network will adopt a decentralized sorter from the launch of the mainnet, with an initial of 7 sorter nodes. Currently, 5 founding nodes have been confirmed, and they have committed over 5,000 BTC for liquidity at the network launch.

2. Security: At the first layer of Bitcoin, the GOAT Network applies an enhanced version of Bitcoin's time-lock and one-time signature technology. At the Layer 2 level, a zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) is used to ensure that the system has security standards comparable to the Bitcoin base layer.

3. Sustainable Revenue Model: Decentralized sequencers can earn Gas fees in the form of BTC and mining rewards in the form of GOAT tokens by producing blocks, providing security, and being active around the clock. This offers sustainable revenue opportunities for various participants.

4. Universal Layer2 Vision: The goal of the GOAT Network is to become a universal L2 for all L1s, with plans to integrate ecosystems such as Ethereum, TON, Cosmos, etc. in the future to address the issues of blockchain interoperability and liquidity fragmentation.
