According to Techub News, The Economic Times reported that the Norwegian government announced on Friday that the country plans to temporarily ban the establishment of new data centers that use the most energy-intensive technology for mining Crypto Assets, in order to save electricity for other industries. Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration Karianne Tung stated that the Labour government clearly intends to limit Crypto Assets mining activities in Norway as much as possible, as mining Crypto Assets is very energy-intensive, and the job opportunities and income it creates for local communities are minimal.
