The national payment system HUMO of Uzbekistan has launched government bond-backed tokens.

According to a report by Cointelegraph on July 10th, the national payment system of Uzbekistan, HUMO, announced the issuance of a government bond-backed crypto Token through its subsidiary HUMO Digital. The Token has been registered in the unified electronic encryption asset registration system maintained by the Uzbekistan National Prospects Project Bureau (NAPP), with supervision of the Token's Collateral and safekeeping handled by Asterium, a crypto custody institution. HUMO Tokens provide instant automatic fiat conversion, no intermediary latency, lower Transaction Costs, and full transparency and security based on Blockchain. As a national payment system with over 35 million cards issued, HUMO plans to attract foreign investment through this project, simplify business payments, and enhance financial transparency. The system has established direct relationships with global payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay, and is actively expanding integrations with multiple countries including Georgia and Kazakhstan.
