Sui Liquid Staking Hacker Cup Finalist Project Overview

After more than 40 days of registration and careful selection, the Sui liquid staking hackathon has completed the evaluation of all participating projects. The final shortlist is highly anticipated, with six teams from each track successfully advancing to Demo Day. Let’s get to know these outstanding participating projects.

Shortlisted Projects

1. Aftermath Finance A one-stop decentralized trading platform built on Sui Move. It offers CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, CMMM for long-tail assets and indices, as well as built-in money market functionalities.

2. DegenHive Combining the innovative governance model of centralized liquidity DEX with HiveVerse NFT, we are committed to fully unleashing the potential of $SUI on the Sui network.

3. Haedal Protocol The liquid staking protocol based on Sui allows users to stake $SUI to earn haSUI. Users can continue to participate in DeFi activities to earn additional returns while contributing to the governance and decentralization of the Sui ecosystem.

4. Interest Protocol Multi-functional DeFi protocol that supports swapping and lending. Liquidity providers can use LP tokens as collateral to borrow the stablecoin Sui Dollar to hedge against impermanent loss.

5. SUISA The DeFi protocol on Sui allows users to stake $SUI to earn stSUI. Users can also use stSUI to mint NFTs, increasing asset diversity.

6. Volo The liquid staking solution on Sui maximizes the utility and liquidity of SUI for users by providing voloSUI.

2. Bucket Protocol The CDP protocol on Sui features non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free properties. Users can use $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral to obtain the required tokens at zero interest, improving capital efficiency and stabilizing the stablecoin price.

3. Desig A multi-signature solution applicable across the entire chain, compatible with all DApps on both EVM and non-EVM chains.

4. Kana Labs User-friendly applications aimed at DeFi and GameFi, dedicated to co-constructing the web3 future.

5. Legato Provide fixed-rate solutions for liquid staking assets and predict interest rate fluctuations on Sui. This project won first place at the Tokyo WebX Move Hacker in July 2023 and is the first project to experiment with yield tokenization on staked Sui objects after the SIP-6 update.

6. Wisp Swap A decentralized trading and prediction market platform on Sui. Features include an asymmetric centralized liquidity DEX with automatically adjusted parameters, as well as a decentralized market predicted using the Ve (3,3) economic design model.

• Each team has 10 minutes, including 5 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
• The timeout team will be removed from the live broadcast.
• Failure to appear on time will be considered a waiver.
• Sponsors will also be showcased.

This hackathon is jointly sponsored by the Sui Foundation and several partners.

Review Mechanism

• The jury is selected by the Sui Foundation and partners from ecosystem collaborators, sponsors, and established projects.
• Each reviewer scores the project demonstration based on preset criteria.
• Calculate the average score after removing the highest and lowest scores.
• Standardized average scores will be used to determine the winners of each award.
• The competition results will be announced on October 2.
