It's quite poignant to see the news of Roman Storm going to court.



Tornado is essentially a privacy tool, not a criminal tool. If it is misused, then the person who wrote the code should be taken to prison, and could face up to 40 years, which sounds ridiculous.

If even technical tools can be criminalized, does that mean that in the future, creating a wallet or developing an anonymous plugin will also require looking at the United States for approval?

I hope the jury can understand that this is not a simple money laundering accusation, but a watershed moment for whether the entire crypto world can continue to uphold technological neutrality.
