Margin Replenishment in the crypto world is also quite tricky; 90% are just blindly replenishing! Experienced drivers teach you how to calculate the real cost:
Several brutal truths about investing that can help you lose less money; Margin Replenishment is not simply about "averaging price."
For example, if you buy 10,000 coins with 100 yuan, and then when the price drops to 50 yuan you buy another 10,000 coins, do you think the average cost is 75 yuan? The actual cost is 67 yuan because the quantity bought the second time is greater, which lowers the average price.
The key point is that the cost after Margin Replenishment is lower than you think, but don't feel "safe" because of that; you still need to stop-loss when necessary. Earning 1% a day can turn 100,000 principal into 1 million in a year, and with daily earnings of 1%, after 250 days, compounded, it can become 1.32 million. However, the reality is that very few people can consistently earn 1% a day; most people earn 5% today, lose 10% tomorrow, and end up with nothing. Self-discipline is more important.
Strategy is more important, a success rate of 60% can still make a profit?
If you trade 100 times, with 60 profitable trades earning 10% each, the total profit is 60%. With 40 losing trades each losing 10%, the total loss is 40%. In the end, the net profit is 20%.
The problem is that most people run away after making a little profit, but they stubbornly hold on when they incur losses. In the end, no matter how high the success rate is, it's all in vain. From 10,000 to 100 million? It's theoretically feasible, but don't dream in reality. Earning 10% each time and winning 97 times in a row can achieve that, but the reality is that when you earn 10%, you feel smug and want to earn more, only to end up losing 20% in the next round. After consecutive profits, the mindset becomes inflated, and ultimately, you lose everything in one go. Investing is not a math problem; it's a test of human nature.
Personal opinion: The survival rule of the investment market—recognizing the truth. Regarding Margin Replenishment, it can indeed lower the average cost, but this is just a mathematical game. Many people mistakenly believe that after Margin Replenishment "lower cost = safer".
By letting my guard down, I ended up getting deeper into a loss. My principle is: Margin Replenishment must have a clear stop-loss position set; otherwise, it's just gambling.
Regarding profits, the ideal is abundant, but the reality is stark.
A daily profit of 1% sounds tempting, but in reality, the market is highly volatile and emotional disturbances are significant, making it hard to execute consistently. My advice is to give up unrealistic fantasies and aim for "small gains and small losses, with occasional big wins"; long-term accumulation is the right path.
Regarding win rate, even if the win rate exceeds half, if the risk-reward ratio is not reasonable, the final result will still be a loss. My strategy is: strictly cut losses and let profits run, so that we can go further and better.
