CleanSpark is accused by U.S. Customs of importing Chinese Mining Rigs and may face a $185 million tariff.

[Golden Finance] reported that the American cryptocurrency mining company CleanSpark disclosed that some Bitcoin mining rigs it imported between April and June 2024 were identified by U.S. Customs as being of Chinese origin, which could face punitive tariffs of up to $185 million. CleanSpark denied the allegations, stating that its procurement contracts and supplier documents indicate that the mining rigs are not made in China and that it will firmly respond to the allegations. The report also mentioned that the mining company IREN previously faced similar controversies, with an involved amount reaching $100 million.
