BTC faces months of struggle to regain lost ground and challenge local highs, investor Chris Burniske predicts.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Jan. 25, Burniske, who is now a partner at crypto venture capital firm Placeholder, said that the price of BTC should fall "at least" to USD 30,000.

Bitcoin continues to get bearish price forecasts, with a growing number of well-known names in the crypto industry calling for it to fall further.

Burniske is now among them, and his minimum target is lower than others.

"I think bitcoin will fall to at least USD 30,000-36,000 before reaching a local bottom, and I wouldn't be surprised if we test the mid to high 20s before all is said and done, and we can make a real move towards previous all-time highs," he summarized.
