XRP could reach $200 billion if SEC allows cryptocurrencies ETFs in 2025
XRP regained 28% from a weekly low of $1.90 on Friday, rising to more than $2.42.
Analysts expect XRP's ETF to attract $5 billion in flows, similar to Bitcoin's ETF spurring rally.
On its way to $200 billion, XRP must surpass the $2.99 barrier to reach $3.40.
XRP regained 28% from a weekly low of $1.90 on Friday, rising to more than $2.42. The rally was catalyzed by the SEC initiating settlement discussions with Ripple and Blackrock rumors about cryptocurrency-related derivatives.
How high would XRP go if cryptocurrency ETFs were legalized this year?
SEC Commodity Rating Reports Push XRP Beyond $2.4
XRP rose 5% to regain $2.30 on news that the SEC may classify it as a commodity in Ripple Labs settlement talks. This regulatory milestone may reduce legal uncertainty and increase enterprise engagement.
Market sources indicate that the SEC is considering classifying XRP as a commodity such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. If XRP gets this rating, its ETFs prospects may improve.
Market watchers say the SEC announcement confirming XRP's classification as a commodity could provoke higher prices. Such speculation could raise XRP from $0.90 to $3.10 in two months. This means that XRP may retest $3 if cryptocurrency ETFs are legalized.
Will Blackrock release ETFs for XRP?
In addition to ETFs approval rumors, BlackRock may develop ETFs for XRP and Solana. The bold predictions of Nate Geraci, one of the founders of the ETF, encouraged these speculations:
I am ready to record official forecasts. BlackRock will apply for ETFs for Solana and XRP. Solana may arrive soon.
Take it as an XRP complaint against the SEC. BlackRock leads in ETFs assets Bitcoin and Ether. I don't see that they will let competitors create ETFs on two of the top 5 unstable crypto assets without a fight. BlackRock is also likely to sign up for ETFs for cryptocurrency indices."
Within 15 months of its inception, BlackRock owns 567,000 Bitcoins worth $47.8 billion, surpassing MicroStrategy which owns 499,096 BTC.
