DeFilama Comprehensive Function Analysis: A Powerful Tool for DeFi Ecosystem Data Analysis
Depth Analysis of DeFilama: A Tool for Decentralized Finance Data Analysis
DeFilama, as a powerful Decentralized Finance data analysis tool, provides us with a wealth of features and insights. This article will comprehensively introduce DeFilama's main functionalities and its applications in the DeFi ecosystem.
Decentralized Finance Overview
DeFilama provides TVL data for the entire DeFi ecosystem, ranked by protocol and public chain. Currently, Lido has become the number one in TVL due to the ETH merge, with 99.2% of the TVL coming from ETH.
Public Chain Analysis
You can view data such as TVL, the number of protocols, changes, and the number of stablecoins for various public chains. The 7-day and 1-month changes in TVL are worth paying attention to, as they may reflect the release of new projects on the chain. DeFi and stablecoins are the infrastructure of the public chain ecosystem, and public chain development can be observed from this perspective.
Unlaunched Token Projects
A list of unissued token DeFi protocols sorted by fundraising time. This data updates slowly, but still holds some value in finding new opportunities. It is recommended to consider the project launch time comprehensively.
Protocol Treasury
Show the total amount and composition of each protocol's treasury. The size of the treasury does not represent the development speed of the protocol, but a large amount of its own tokens may indicate a small market circulation or that the DAO has become the largest seller. It is recommended to pay attention to the risks brought by non-stablecoins to the treasury.
Oracle
Sort various oracle services through TVS(Total Value Secured). ChainLink is undoubtedly the king in this field. However, this data does not equate to the number of services provided by the oracle, which introduces some ambiguity.
Protocol Fork
You can view the most copied protocols. Most of the forks are industry leaders and are worth in-depth study. Developers can also discover new opportunities through this list.
Leading Protocols of Various Chains
Showcase leading projects in various DeFi segments across different public chains, including liquidity staking, CDP, DEX, lending, yield, cross-chain bridges, etc. The leaders of large public chain ecosystems are developing multi-chain strategies, and leading projects in emerging ecosystems are also seeking larger markets through multi-chain strategies.
Protocol Comparison
Support selecting multiple protocols to compare TVL on a timeline. This is very helpful for comparing projects in the same track. This feature can also be extended to comparisons of other metrics such as revenue, number of users, FDV, etc.
Token Usage
You can query the usage of specific tokens in Decentralized Finance. The data is sourced from on-chain, but is limited to projects included by DeFilama.
Decentralized Finance分类
DeFilama categorizes DeFi projects into 31 categories. Areas with fewer protocols include privacy, oracle, leveraged farming, unsecured lending, exotic options, and physical asset lending, which may contain new opportunities.
New Listed Projects
Show the projects recently included by DeFilama. Please note that "recently" refers to the inclusion time rather than the mainnet launch time, which has a certain lag.
Programming Language Statistics
Show the proportion of different programming languages in DeFi, as well as a comparison of languages ranked by TVL. It also includes information on the ratio of open-source/non-open-source protocols in the Solana ecosystem.
Yield Data
DeFilama has recorded 59 on-chain protocols with 5327 liquidity pools. In addition to BTC, ETH, and stablecoins, GLP and GMX have also made it to the forefront.
Delta Neutral Strategy
Automatically select Delta neutral strategies based on collateral tokens and calculate the overall returns of each strategy component. Currently, there are few tracked pools, for reference only.
Long and Short Strategy
For specific tokens, display all the Delta neutral "long and short" strategies in the tracking pools and CEX perpetual contract markets. Consider the CEX funding rates and DeFi yield to calculate the annualized strategy returns.
Margin Lending
Show the Loop APY, Supply APY, LTV, and other data for different leveraged lending projects. Covering 158 pools across 291 protocols on 23 chains. Compared to other chains, there are more projects on the BNB chain, and the Loop APY is also higher.
Lending Overview
Ranked based on the yields, LTV, supply, and usage of lending projects. Covers 777 liquidity pools across 291 protocols on 23 chains.
Yield Overview
You can search for the median APY and distribution of a single cryptocurrency, and view the APY of a specific cryptocurrency in designated project pools. It provides visualized APY data comparisons, suitable for staking data analysis reports.
Stablecoin Pool
A total of 59 on-chain stablecoin pools for 275 protocols are included. Showcasing each pool's TVL, APY( base APY, reward APY, and 30-day average APY). High APY largely relies on project token reward subsidies. In addition to Ethereum, some notable stablecoin pools have also begun to emerge on L2.
Halal Pool
Tracking 59 chains with 36 protocols and 5273 "halal" pools, mainly including relatively safe and simple projects such as simple exchange DEX, single yield farming, liquid staking, and cross-chain LP.
Cross-DEX Aggregator
By aggregating multiple DEX aggregators, it provides optimal trading path queries and direct trading functionalities. It will calculate the trading results and various fee costs, and supports custom slippage settings.
Lending Aggregator
Enter the collateral token and the borrowing token, this tool will check all lending protocols, calculate the costs of each lending method, while considering incentives, supply APR, and borrowing APR, providing a list of all possible lending avenues, costs, and LTV.
Transparency of Centralized Exchanges
Show the inflow, outflow, net assets and other data of centralized exchange assets. Currently, OKX has a net inflow of $242 million in one month, while Binance has a net outflow of $2.07 billion. The funds that have flowed out of the TOP 5 exchanges have not all flowed into the TOP 10 exchanges with net inflows, and it is possible that over $1.5 billion in assets remain on-chain. It is worth paying attention to the exchanges with net inflows during the bear market.
Clearing Data
You can view the total liquidation amount of each chain and protocol, as well as the liquidation situation when the price drops by 20%. You can also check the liquidation situation of the 100 largest positions. Currently, the highest ETH liquidation price for the top 10 positions is 1088 USD, while the 12th and 15th positions are around 1290 USD, and the 18th position is quite special, at 1547 USD.
Trading Volume Data
Including DEX daily/weekly/monthly trading volume rankings, trading volume rankings and changes across chains, TVL, market share, cumulative trading volume, etc. There are also data such as options trading volume rankings, but the options data has certain flaws. Currently, in the options market, Lyra's trading volume accounts for more than 56% of the reported data, holding an absolute leading position.
Fees and Income
A list of projects ranked by income and expenses. The top 50 project categories by income include: public chains/Rollup( selling block space), DEX( transaction fees), liquidity staking( reward fees), options/futures/lending trading, NFT markets/lending, CDP, synthetic assets, oracles, etc. It is worth noting that some projects with FDV reaching billions of dollars have only a few million dollars in revenue, and most of the profits do not flow to token holders.
Financing Data
Project financing information sorted by time, including financing scale, round, project introduction, valuation, leading and participating institutions, etc. You can also view the most active investment institutions and their investment project status within the last 30 days.
