BTC Layer2 Solution GOAT Network Comprehensive Analysis

GOAT Network is an innovative Bitcoin Layer 2 project aimed at expanding Bitcoin's functionality and addressing the main challenges faced by L2. The project plans to launch its testnet this quarter, with the mainnet expected to go live in the third or fourth quarter of this year.

GOAT Network adopts multiple advanced technologies, including the Optimistic Challenge Protocol GOAT-OCP, BitVM2, and ZKM Interleaved Rollup. The combination of these technologies enhances the inclusiveness and finality of transactions while ensuring the security of the network.

In terms of security, the GOAT Network has implemented an enhanced version of time-locking and one-time signature technology on the first layer of Bitcoin, while using the zkVM, a zero-knowledge virtual machine developed by ZKM, on Layer 2. These measures ensure that the system meets the same security standards as the underlying layer of Bitcoin.

The GOAT Network has also designed a sustainable revenue model. Decentralized sorters can earn Gas fees in the form of BTC and mining rewards in the form of GOAT tokens by producing blocks, providing security, and maintaining activity. This provides various participants with the opportunity to obtain sustainable income.

The project's vision is to become a universal L2 for all L1s, with plans to integrate ecosystems such as Ethereum, TON, Cosmos, and more in the future. The GOAT Network utilizes Entangled Rollup technology, aiming to address the interoperability of blockchains and the issue of fragmented liquidity, while avoiding the security risks associated with traditional third-party bridges.
