Many times, the anxiety and confusion in life stem from having excessively high expectations of ourselves. Once we fail to meet those expectations, we feel lost, frustrated, and anxious. In reality, we don’t need to have overly high expectations for life: we should take it one step at a time and not hang a lofty goal in front of us. When things haven't happened yet, we are in a state of extreme internal conflict. Never think about what will happen two hours later or eight kilometers away; don’t aim too high and set unrealistic goals. We ordinary people just need to expand our mental world within a stable life, as long as we are gradually getting better. Don’t overly deny yourself, don’t accept the world's denial of you, and don’t self-deny either. When we are young, we often find ourselves in a contradictory state due to life experiences and changes during growth. We want to succeed but lack confidence and fear failure.
