The economic growth of the open Metaverse is increasing at a rate that exceeds common knowledge, according to Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, in his TED speech. Siu claimed that the Metaverse has generated over 30 billion US dollars in economic activity, close to the fiscal reserves of New Zealand and surpassing the GDP of more than 100 countries such as Cyprus and Iceland.
